Classification of the images of the Pahlavi part of the Shahnameh Based on the theory of literary imagery of Mohammad Reza Shafii Kadkani and the cinematic theory of Gilles Deleuze

Abstract

The purpose of the current research is to categorize the images of the Shahnameh Pahlavi section based on two literary and cinematic perspectives: Mohammadreza Shafiei Kodkani's views on image in Persian poetry and Gilles Deleuze's theory in cinema and film reading. The common denominator in both viewpoints is the presence of movement and time in the image. The two categories of movement and time provide the possibility to recover the identity of the image. In the present research, movement and time are two fundamental elements in the cinematic analysis of the images of the Shahnameh's Pahlavi section. In terms of the research method, the present essay is organized on the basis of interdisciplinary studies and in a comparative-analytical way, by using a literary theory and a modern cinematic theory, it has achieved another classification of the images of the Shahnameh. Therefore, the types of images are 1) Rhetoric - based. 2) Narrative - basis. 3) language - base. 4) action -base. 5) dialogue - base. The classification of these images into two groups based on the two elements of movement and the time of the final achievement of the search is proposed.
